There is a great display about the values in the school’s reception area with lots of quotes from children. Molly (Year 5) writes: ‘I thought peace had the most impact on me because if you have peace you have all the other values as well and I think the world needs it the most!’ The school had ‘peace’ as their value in September to coincide with the International Day of Peace (21 Sept). The pupils regularly have a minute’s reflection during assemblies and in their classrooms. As well as an active School Council of pupils, there is a Values Council of pupils which plays an active part in the Values-based Education programme.
