A Prayer for Peaceful Schools

This prayer was written for the Peaceful Schools Movement by Annie Blampied. Annie was a teacher for 25 years and is now an Interfaith Minister.

May children and teachers throughout the world
Look forward to going to school each day.

May they feel seen, appreciated and valued
For who they are,
Big or small,
In the dance of teaching and learning.

May they have peace of heart,
Strength of spirit,
And joy in creating and doing.

May they have time to wonder
And experience their connection with nature
And their own innocence.

May all schools be places of safety and happiness,
Beauty and friendship.
Acceptance, order and peace.

And so it is.

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti. (Or you can use other endings to the prayer if you prefer like: 'Amen')
