PUPILS’ PEACEFUL SCHOOLS RAP

Composed by pupils (from two of our London Beacon Peaceful Schools - St Andrews Catholic Primary, Streatham and Argyle Primary,Camden) at our ‘Learning Through Peace’ Conference, which was held on 24 June 2016.

At peaceful schools we learnt a thing or two,

Like what classrooms and playgrounds can be,

They can be kind, it’s as easy as 1-2-3!

Chilling out and calming down, we learn meditation;
Relaxing, we are all without hesitation!

Like schools are full of many beliefs-
we can stick together like baby leaves.

Mediation can help a lot
When you give it all you’ve got!

Peace is like an infinite circle,
Round and round like a non-stop Gerbil!

Helping us be independent with thinking hats,
Making us smarter like cool cats.

Like when people are caught arguing,
Peer Mediators can get them talking.

Like wearing your beads to show solidarity,
All religions want peace – they’re one big community!

Like learning different ways to solve any conflict,
don’t be unkind; show love that’s your instinct!
