Became a Beacon Peaceful School officially on 27 February 2015. The school is in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. One third of the pupils are from Army families. The school is noteworthy for its vibrant, dynamic look and feel. Highlights include: the Head Teacher's commitment to ensuring that staff aren't stressed (in research on peaceful schools undertaken by Spiritual England, pupils have said that they don't like stressed teachers!). The school works in partnership with a local project that supports schools, Trinity Learning, and together they have developed a sensory garden. Other noteworthy features include the very cosy nurture room and their play-based curriculum to age 6 (!). Pupils have developed the THINK approach to communication (see photo below) and the school works to the Growth Mindset scheme developed by Carol Dweck.
